After writing my list of "goals" for 2018, I decided it would be good to start breaking down my goal list into monthly lists. This way each goal - or intention - would feel more attainable and doable. February's list is small - since it's my first list of the year I wanted to test the waters and see how truly realistic I can be about what I am able to accomplish in a month's time.
1. Catch up with old friends.
You know those friends that you don't get to see that often, but when you do it's like no time has passed? I am blessed to have a handful of friends like that. In the winter months everyone kid of stows away until the weather grows warmer but I would like to subvert that trend this month. Some after work dinner dates, a few brunches perhaps? I'm excited!
2. Create my Bullet Journal
I have decided to try this whole bullet journal deal. I have purchased all of the supplies and I would like to take an afternoon (probably a Sunday) to site down and really flesh everything out. If everything goes to plan I will definitely create post here showing you how I did it!
3. Bake my Famous Fudge Brownies
I used to bake these brownies all the time, but haven't done it in years. I have all of the ingredients and even bought a few news things to try in them (I like really fudgy brownies filled with things like nuts, toffee, coconut, etc.).
4. Read two books
Part of this I have already started. I read two books in January and I am really proud of myself. I want to continue that trend and read two more this month.
5. Go through my Makeup
I already started part of this in January but I still have a ton more to go through. I need to sift through the items that need to be tossed and/or given away.
6. Take Better Care of my nails
I have a nail art and nail polish blog (which you can read here!), but you wouldn't know it to look at my nails right now! They are in terrible shape. And that is mostly because I haven't been blogging on Valiantly Varnished in months and so I have had no incentive to pay attention to my nails. But I miss having pretty, healthy nails. And the fact that I miss them is a sign to me that I am ready to actually get them back into shape.
7. Contribute More on my Instgaram
I love Instagram. Of all the sovial media platforms it's probably my fave. Lately I have lost a bit of my mojo and motivation to use it. Especially the one for this site. But I have things in the works that will hopefully breathe more life into my page but help me get the fun back into posting.
8. Start planning my vacation
I am planning on (hopefully) going away for my birthday in June. But I need to decide where, when and for how long. And I need to decide what would be great but still affordable. I am planning on moving soon so that so will be two huge expenses in a short time frame. This one may have to be put on the back burner until I've moved, but I'm hoping I can make it work.
Pretty simple stuff, I'd say. What are some of your goals for this month? Let me know in the comments!
